  1. VacciTUTOR
    Essentials in Vaccinology
    eCourse

  2. Includes:
    Basic Vaccinology
    Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPDs)
    Quiz / Exam

  3. Three suggestions on how to learn:

    1. Select chapters you want to know and learn one or more every day.

    2. Form a group and meet once a day to discuss the chapters.

    3. Organize a crash course with a group of 6 students or multiples of 6. The course will take about 2 x 8 hours (2 full days); here's how you may run it:

  4. Find one person knowledgeable in vaccines and vaccination for each group. Ideally a physician or life sciences expert should act as your facilitator.

  5. Send the link to the course to all participants before the formal group meeting (we do this 8 weeks in advance) to get familiar with the topic.

  6. Assign 10 chapters to each student to present at the group meeting 8 weeks later.

    1. You may tailor the course to your needs by selecting fewer chapters.

    2. In case you have expert facilitators, they can formally present single topics – then fewer chapters are presented by students.

  7. In the formal group meeting, all chapters are presented in chronological order from 1–63.

    1. Each student has up to 10 minutes to present one chapter plus up to 5 minutes for discussion (i.e., each chapter is covered in up to 15 minutes).

    2. No slides, no videos, only ≤1 page with notes allowed; we suggest printing the bullet point summaries and adding some notes.

    3. Ask questions on whatever you did not understand and make a note of all items that may remain unclear.

    4. Stay strictly on time!

    5. In case you can invite experts, they may present one topic about every 2 hours in ≤30 minutes (15 PowerPoint slides maximum).

    6. Have a 30-minute break every 2 hours.

    7. At the end of each day, have a quiz (as competition) using selected or random questions (maximum 1 hour) with the facilitator asking the questions.

    8. In the end, discuss again any open questions or assign members to find the answers.

    9. Have a group dinner or another group activity on the first evening.

    10. A timetable on how we run the course is available below (Link down below)
